About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Solution Engineer to lead the technical sales motion for actAVA and serve as the trusted technical advisor to prospects, customers, and partners. You will own the technical win—translating complex healthcare and life sciences workflows into orchestrated, governed, and measurable agentic solutions on the actAVA platform—then pivot fluidly into forward-deployed delivery, onboarding, and strategic AI planning after the sale. This is a high-ownership role in a fast-moving startup that rewards technical depth, commercial instinct, and a builder's mindset in equal measure.

What you'll do

  • Customer presentations & demonstrations: Lead discovery, technical qualification, value-based demonstrations, and objection handling of the KORA (BLUE, RED, GREEN) and CHRYSO suites—from the boardroom to the engineering bench—to secure the technical win, including RFIs/RFPs and security reviews.

  • Solution development & proofs of value: Translate customer healthcare workflows (prior authorization, utilization management, care management, and front-, middle-, and back-office operations) into orchestrated agent prototypes and reference architectures that prove real integrations, guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, and measurable ROI.

  • Technical account management: Serve as the ongoing technical point of contact for strategic accounts—monitoring adoption and health, surfacing expansion opportunities, and coordinating issue resolution with Product, Engineering, and Support.

  • Workshops & enablement: Design and facilitate hands-on workshops and “how to become a citizen developer” curricula that help domain experts build and govern agents safely with correct mental models.

  • Channel partners: Onboard, train, and technically enable channel partners and systems integrators to build, demo, and deliver actAVA solutions, and co-sell on joint pursuits.

  • Customer onboarding & strategic AI planning: Lead post-sales onboarding and forward-deployed implementation, and co-develop each customer's strategic AI roadmap—sequencing use cases, governance, and citizen-developer readiness—to expand value realization and recurring revenue.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Relay market and customer feedback to Product and Engineering, and coordinate with Sales, Customer Success, and Forward Deployed Engineering for a smooth sale-to-implementation handoff.

What we're looking for

  • A decade or more in solution engineering, sales engineering, or technical pre-sales for enterprise SaaS/PaaS or AI platforms, with a track record of winning complex deals; healthcare or other regulated-industry experience a strong plus; comfortable wearing many hats in a startup.

  • Excellent technical and business skills—credible from a CISO's security review, to a CFO's ROI conversation, to a hands-on build session.

  • Deep technical knowledge: integration patterns (APIs, MCP, EHR/healthcare connectivity), security and compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2, role-based access, audit trails), application development, and AI agents and the surrounding stack (orchestration, retrieval, evaluations, guardrails, human-in-the-loop).

  • Deep sales skills: needs-based discovery, value-based demonstration, objection handling, competitive positioning, and earning the technical win, with strong executive presence.

  • Proven ability to pivot into post-sales, forward-deployed delivery, paired with a builder's mindset, intellectual honesty, and an educator's instinct for enablement.

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
