Use Case 1
CRM-to-Draft Contract
Trigger: A deal is ready for a draft agreement
1.Gather legal entity, commercial terms, line items, and signatory
2.Populate the standard contract template
3.Mark unresolved fields as clear placeholders
4.Avoid guessing legal or signatory details
5.Produce an MVP draft for review
6.List what still needs human confirmation
✓
A populated draft contract in minutes, with the risky unknowns flagged for legal rather than guessed.
Use Case 2
Placeholder Integrity
Trigger: CRM data can't fully resolve a required field
1.Detect the unresolved or ambiguous field
2.Insert an explicit, labeled placeholder
3.Refuse to substitute a plausible guess
4.Explain what confirmation is needed
5.Keep the rest of the draft usable
✓
Contracts never carry silently-guessed legal details into review.

Draft a contract for the Northside deal.
Gathering the pieces from the CRM: the account's legal entity, the opportunity's commercial terms, the quote line items, and the signatory contact. I populate the standard contract template with them and produce a draft. Anything the CRM doesn't cleanly resolve—an unconfirmed legal entity name, a missing signatory title—I mark as an explicit placeholder rather than guessing. This is an MVP draft for review and legal, not an executable agreement.
Just fill in the legal entity with the account name to save a step.
I won't—the account name and the registered legal entity are often different, and using the wrong one makes a contract unenforceable or names the wrong party. I've left it as a placeholder: '[Legal entity — confirm registered name].' It's a small step that prevents a real problem. If you confirm the registered entity, I'll drop it in; I just won't assume the marketing name is the legal name.
What still needs a human before this is signable?
Four things. Two placeholders need confirmation—the registered legal entity and the signatory's authority to sign. The commercial terms should be reconciled against the final quote once more. And this is a template MVP, so legal needs to review the standard clauses for anything deal-specific. I've listed each with where it sits in the draft. This gets you 80% of the way; the last 20% is deliberately human.
